After eighteen months of construction, the new science block welcomed its first classes this term.
The building houses three laboratories — biology, chemistry, and physics — each fitted to current standards, alongside a small lecture theatre for combined sessions and visiting speakers.
Staff have already begun running practical sessions that were not possible in the old rooms, and the department reports a marked increase in students opting for sciences at senior level.
